It seems to be our most popular question, when is our sequel coming? Well we are about to share some of the details of the sequel and hopefully clear things up.
The Sequel will be entitled “All Saints Day”. The start date is October 20th, 2008 that will be our first day of shooting. We are currently in the casting process for all new roles that will be in the sequel. Both Brothers are coming back too! I know that has been on some peoples’ minds. Once filming begins, we will have streaming video from the set weekly. Writer/Director Troy Duffy is due to start pre-production at beginning of September.
“IF” there is going to be an “open casting call” we will let you know on our Websites, MySpace, Newsletter, etc. If you’re not already signed up for our newsletter, the sign up form is on this website.
There is not an official release date set, but we are hoping for spring 2009. When that becomes available we will update everyone.
All of us at Boondock would to thank the fans for their loyal support over theses years and keeping the faith! If it wasn’t for you, “the fans”, this would not have been possible!
Been quiet because I’ve been busy. As some of you know we are involved in a lawsuit (we’re the
plaintiffs) stemming from Boondock Saints. We’re going to trial soon after years of plodding through the justice system at a snail’s pace. So with that, things are a gettin’ interestin’!
As to the sequel to BDS, “All Saints Day” I will have some VERY GOOD FUCKING NEWS in a few short weeks. I know many of you are frustrated and have waited a long time. But I’ve been on it every day and now we see the light at the end of the tunnel in terms of financing the film and shooting the damn thing! Many of you want to hear about my next project (after the sequel) called “The Good King.” I’m putting together a video thing for that. I had a few local artists do some art work and I’ll walk you guys through the thing. I’ll get to it soon. Keep the faith!
Boondock has just launched its new EBay Store that will be selling a few select one of a kind items that are not featured in our webstore. Starting today, we are auctioning off a one of a kind Pea Coat, owned, worn and signed by writer/director, Troy Duffy. We will also be auctioning off some original litho’s of the brothers by a fantastic local artist Mike.
Those are just some of the examples. Check the Ebay Store for more listing..
We are very proud to announce the launch of www.boondocksaints.com - the third and final site in the Boondock Web Family (so far . . .)!
Check it out and enjoy!! We couldn’t be happier!
O’kay, here’s the scoop. I know you’re impatient on the sequel. Not be long now, Daniel sahn! Long form contracts and business affairs can be very time consuming but we are close, so keep the faith. Also, we are simultaneously financing my follow up to BDSII, “The Good King.” There are a lot of logistics with this stuff and no one is more frustrated with it all than me. I want to get goin! Action! Cut! Moving on!
I have officially started working on my shot list and something I call my Boondock Bible. That’s how I’m keeping sane while the lawyers argue and wrap this shit up! I’ll get you guys back soon.
This is Jimi Jackson’s new band SUNMACHINE. Jimi was the drummer for Troy’s band “The Boondock Saints”. After a bout with brain cancer, he snapped back and is doing fine. Give it a good listen.
